Verity is a registered charity and a registered company. It is run by volunteers who form a Board of Trustees, and who are also voted in as the board of directors. As the Trustee’s of Verity we have full responsibility of the charity.
Our roles are to manage the charity’s affairs to maximise the benefit to our members in the short term and in the long term. We run Verity in accordance with the governing documents of Verity and our mission statement. We have a legal responsibility in respect of meeting charity law and company law. We also have a duty to be accountable to our members, and we are required to keep the appropriate records to meet these legal requirements.
Any decisions made are with the approval of the Board of Trustees who have to consider the best interest of the charity and its members. All the Trustees meet the legal requirements of the Charities Act 2006 and Companies Act 2006.
