Dr Helen Mason
 

Dr Helen Mason
Senior Lecturer in Reproductive Endocrinology, St. George's, University of London

Helen has been carrying out research on polycystic ovaries for over 20 years. Having completed her PhD on the mechanism of anovulation in these patients her research interests expanded to cover many aspects of the function of polycystic ovaries and the ovary in general. Moving from Imperial College to St. George’s in 1998 she has established a group of scientists with a primary interest in this condition. She has published over 60 papers in the area, contributed to a number of books and has several grant-funded programmes. Helen teaches science of reproduction to medical students and offers a number of programmes to educate students about this fascinating condition. She has been a scientific advisor to Verity for many years and is an executive director of PCOS-UK the body established by Verity to educate professionals.

Caroline Heuberger
 

Caroline Heuberger
PCOS Dietitian

Caroline Heuberger is a dietitian with a special interest in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.  She works as part of the multidisciplinary PCOS team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, providing group and individual sessions at the weekly PCOS clinic.

 

Dr Marilyn Glenville
Nutritionist

Dr Marilyn Glenville PhD is the UK’s leading nutritionist specialising in women’s health. She is the Former President of the Food and Health Forum at The Royal Society of Medicine and a registered nutritionist.

She is the author of eight internationally bestselling books including ‘Getting Pregnant Faster', ' Fat around the Middle', The Nutritional Health Handbook for Women, 'New Natural Alternatives to HRT’. ‘Healthy Eating for the Menopause’. ‘. ‘Natural Solutions to Infertility’. ‘Overcoming PMS the Natural Way’ and ‘Osteoporosis – the Silent Epidemic’.

Dr Glenville works in a gynaecology clinic in London and in Tunbridge Wells. 

 

Chris Hart
Beauty Therapist

Chris Hart is a qualified beauty therapist and one of the first therapists in the country to use laser for hair removal. Her experience and belief in the benefits of laser hair removal led Chris set up Cristianos Laser Clinic in 1997. Cristianos now have four Care Quality Commission registered sites, Manchester, London, Lancashire and Leeds. Throughout the past 13 years Chris and her colleagues have worked tirelessly towards making treatment accessible for women with PCOS. This includes the formulation of information packs for GP’s and Primary Care Trusts which demonstrate evidence based practice and improved quality of life that treatment brings to women with PCOS. These packs have led to many clients receiving NHS funding for facial hair removal.
