Hi
Yes I used it for about 4and a half months. It did work to some extent for me, but I decided it wasn't worth it in the end....
I found that my spots cleared up a lot as well as a reduction in hair while I was using it, but maybe that was because I was washing my face thoroughly twice a day !!
It stung a bit to start with, but I got used to that pretty quickly.
My GP said I could use it anywhere on my body, but I found it really impractical for use on body hair as there was way too much washing involved.
I found it worked quite slowly, but there definately was a gradual improvement after a few weeks. Now I have stopped using it I'm doubly certain it worked!!
Hope that helps!
Jules

I know how you feel. It is hard work! I've had excess hair for a long time and it is really noticeable (and spreading
), no-one has ever been rude enough to say anything but I know you can see it! I'm quite a girly girl so it tends not to match the image! Luckily my long term partner is sympathetic and doesn't have a problem with it.
I've come to the conclusion that I mainly remove it for the benefit of others anyway!! It has taken a long time to come to the understanding that actually I'm the same person I always was and it doesn't change 'me' and if other people can't see past it then it isn't my job to help them with their problem!!!!!
Good luck with the vaniqa, you should see an improvement
post back if I can answer any questions about it!!

I remove the hair daily because I cant stand feeling it on my face I was on Diannete which did wonders for taking the hair off my face and body but I had to come off it because I Was depressed on it and also I had high blood pressure
Thanks for responding so quick

Hi. I'm new to this message board.
I was diagnosed 4 years ago and have been on Dianette since then - apart from a break when my endo put me on Medroxyprogesterone which made me sick as a dog. I was then referred to a gynae who took me straight off that - he said he couldn't believe i'd been prescribed it, it was increasing the nasty hormones!
Anyway, have been on Dianette for the last 18 months or so and have noticed a fair reduction in the facial hair and twice yearly, incredibly painful periods! Hasn't done much for the receding hair though!
They said that they wouldn't give me anything else as my symptoms were just cosmetic!!
I couldn't believe that! They won't do anything else until I want to get pregnant! I'm single, so don't see that happening any time soon!
I went back to my GP last month and asked about vaniqa - I think the hair is still excessive. She wouldn't prescribe it there and then because they have no experience of it. So have just been put on the waiting list to see a dermatologist (doubt i'll see him much before the end of November!).
Would be interested to hear any opinions on vaniqa.

I agree I was on Dianette for a year it greatly improved the hair growth but I was not suited to it apart fromteh severe breast pain on it, the mood swings and the high blood pressure I thought I ought to come of it .. nothing has helped with the hair loss so I have resigned myself to wigs inteh future ...I have already found a place that does "bonded" on hair peices ... god even writing that makes me feel sick !!! but seeing as I can no longer cover teh hair on my face I dont want a bald head AND beard Vaniqa is my last choice
Oh and a dermatologist will only give you regaine for your hair loss (which doesnt work at the front) ... and for facial hair I was sent to an endo

I've been given Vaniqa, but i'm really struggling with it at the moment. I've noticed i seem to be having a lot more spots than usual, like acne basically and it really stings when applied.
Does anyone know of anything else that has similar effect?
