Peer support is very important when dealing with PCOS. Feedback from Verity members at conferences and local group meetings show that a majority of women with PCOS appreciate being able to meet others dealing with the same condition. As well as the important sharing of knowledge about PCOS, simply being in the company of others sharing the same condition is very helpful.
Currently Verity members are meeting up informally in various places around the country. Using Verity Discussion Board, women are making contact with others in their area, and arranging 'get-togethers' in pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
