A PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY FOR PCOSOn 08 September 2025, the APPG on PCOS published the first-ever Parliamentary Inquiry into PCOS — a landmark moment for our community. Over several months, the Inquiry gathered evidence from patients, clinicians, researchers, and health organisations.
The Inquiry’s findings highlighted significant gaps in diagnosis, treatment, and long-term support for people with PCOS. From this evidence, the APPG has published 10 key recommendations for government, the NHS, and research bodies. These recommendations call for action including but not limited to:
About the APPG on PCOSThe All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on PCOS brings together MPs, Peers, patients, clinicians, and researchers to raise awareness of polycystic ovary syndrome and improve outcomes for those affected.
APPGs are informal cross-party groups in Parliament that focus on specific issues. They don’t receive government funding — instead, charities like Verity provide the secretariat role to ensure that the PCOS community has a strong, consistent voice in Parliament. Through the APPG, we are working to:
