Peer Support

Peer support is very important when dealing with PCOS. Feedback from Verity members at conferences and local group meetings show that a majority of women with PCOS appreciate being able to connect with and meet others dealing with the same condition. As well as the important sharing of knowledge about PCOS, simply being in the company of others sharing the same condition is very helpful.

Verity is not an officially resgistered charity in Scotland or Northern Ireland due to differing charity registration rules and processes, however there are volunteers in both areas that run closed facebook support groups in support of Verity. You can join them here: Scotland, Northern Ireland.

No local group near you? Want to setup a new group in your area? We are currently looking to recruit volunteers to co-ordinate activities in their area. To be a Local Group Leader you need to be willing and able to commit a couple of hours every week or two to be a point of contact for your group, and co-ordinate informal meetings.  If you are interested, please get in touch and we'll respond as soon as we are able to.

To connect with others and see which volunteer run local groups are active please join our closed group on Facebook
