increase funding into pcos & endometriosisOn the 18th of October, the UK Parliament will be debating the lack of research funding into polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis. This debate is happening because over 100,000 of you cared enough to take two minutes of your time and sign a petition. Thank you.
Both of these conditions can be debilitating, and are very common; affecting 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth (AFAB). If you yourself don't have either PCOS and/or endometriosis, then you certainly know and love someone that does. What can you do?By sparing just another two minutes, you can again make a huge difference.
We need as many Members of Parliament (MP) to attend the debate as possible. The more MPs that attend the debate, the more likely it is that the outcome will be a tangible, positive impact for those living with PCOS and endometriosis through an increase in funding into research of the cause/s and treatments. It's hard to express just what an important and potentially game changing opportunity this is. Please take a moment and send an email to your MP and ask them to attend the debate. To make it as easy as possible, Verity and Endometriosis UK have pre-written an email for you that you can quickly and easily customise and just hit send. It will automatically then get sent off to your MP - even if you don't know who they are and their email address! Neat huh?! PLEASE SHARE THIS FAR & WIDE!As you know, MPs represent their constituents, so the more people within your local area that ask them to attend - the more likely they will! So, after you've sent off your email, please ask as many of your friends and family and people in your local area to do so too.
Share this far and wide on social using #PCOSAndEndoDebate, and you can also tag in your MP on Twitter (find their @handle using this handy Tweet Your MP tool). |
