PMOS AWARENESS month

Verity launched PMOS Awareness Week in November 2010, the very first awareness event of its kind in the world. 16 years later and our week has become a month, in line with our US and international counterparts.
This year is the first PMOS Awareness month following the name change earlier this year. Our aim is to simply raise awareness of PMOS, educate others about the condition and hopefully raise a little money so we can continue providing awareness, information and support. It’s pretty hard to understand PMOS unless you have it or know someone that does. Although it's estimated that 1 in 8 women and people have PMOS, it’s so easy to feel isolated or that no one else understands what you are going through. It's also estimated that 70% of those with the condition don't know they have it, and you can't treat and manage what you don't know you have. Awareness month is our chance to make some noise, support each other and spread the word so others can get diagnosed too. As a volunteer organisation, we rely on our community to help us do this and there are lots of ways to get involve.
